Paul Gascoigne

Paul Gascoigne was born and raised in Gateshead, and began his Newcastle United career in 1985.

After playing 92 times for the Magpies, scoring 21 goals, Tottenham Hotspur signed the twinkle toed attacker in 1988. After making another 92 appearances he moved to Lazio.

A series of moves ranging from Rangers to Boston United happened over the next 10 years as his trouble with alcohol left a black mark on Gascoigne’s career.
