Steven Taylor

The 30-year-old may have been born in London, but he is a pure Geordie – going to school at the nearby Whitley Bay High School.

After a brief loan spell with Wycombe Wanderers, Steven Taylor made his first team debut after coming on as a substitute for Andy O’Brien in 2004.

Since then, Taylor has made over 200 appearances for Newcastle United – but with his contract up at the end of the season, who knows if he will extend his stay.
