Robbie Elliot

Gosforth born defender Robbie Elliot was another player to graduate from the academy system, have two spells at Newcastle United and play for Sunderland as well.

After making his Toon debut in 1991, Elliot played 79 times for the Tyneside club before moving to Bolton Wanderers for four seasons.

The Magpies re-signed him in 2001, and he featured in another 63 games before moving to Sunderland in 2006.
