Newcastle United has produced a great many good players down the line, who have either featured for the Magpies or someone else.

The current crop of talented youngster include the likes of Adam Armstrong, Freddie Woodman and Alex Gilliead – who have all taken part in successful loan spells this campaign.

Armstrong have enjoyed the most success, while Woodman’s spell at Crawley Town was cut short by injuries to Karl Darlow and Tim Krul.

Gilliead has flown under the radar a little bit while at Carlisle United, but has featured 36 times for the Cumbrians – scoring eight goals and assisting another eight.

Others out on loan include Kyle Cameron and Lubo Satka at York City, and Paul Woolston at neighbours Gateshead.
