When everything goes to pot, you need leaders.

Newcastle United have looked badly short of that during the loss against Chelsea – and why Fabricio Coloccini was handed a new deal is beyond anyone.

Head coach Steve McClaren needs to use the break to enforce some sort of leadership on the squad, and he needs to encourage Coloccini to give more.
