Jonjo Shelvey has punished a number of teams from range, and this goal against Southampton was no exception.
Shelvey received the ball just outside the Saints’ penalty area, and skipped around his marker before planting a shot in the top right hand corner of the goal.
After his excellent start to the season, the former Liverpool man’s form has faded – but Newcastle United fans will be hoping that he hits the ground running.
