Bafetimbi Gomis

Bafetimbi Gomis is another striker who Newcastle United didn’t think represented value for money.

Nevertheless, the club chased him during 2013 – but Swansea City eventually won out and signed him for a free transfer in 2014.

After impressing in stages, Gomis has endured a goal drought,  only scoring one goal in his last 14 games, despite hitting four in his first four at the beginning of the season.
