Yohan Cabaye was Alan Pardew’s inspiration signing and a man who made Newcastle United tick.

It’s no surprise that Papiss Cisse enjoyed his best period at the club when Cabaye was playing – and it’s no surprise that the service to the striker got drastically worse when he left.

After Paris Saint Germain came calling it became impossible to resist, but the worst thing is that the Magpies opted against resigning the midfielder this season.
