Demba Ba

Demba Ba is partly the reason Mike Ashley is now so obsessed with picking up players on the cheap and making a massive profit on them.

Ba joined West Ham United in January 2011, but couldn’t save them from the drop. Newcastle United swooped for the striker, and the rest is history.

He scored 29 times in 51 appearances, after which Chelsea swooped in and signed him in January 2013.

Transfer rating: 9/10
