Remy Cabella

When will this procession of French imports end? Not any time soon, if the newspaper reports are accurate.

Remy Cabella was a long term target for Graham Carr, but never set the world alight despite his £12m transfer fee.

Alan Pardew often shunted him out wide, which didn’t help, but Cabella hardly showed the right level of physicality that the Premier League demands. Only had one really good game, against Chelsea, before leaving to Marseille on loan.

Transfer rating: 6/10
