James Perch

James Perch, or Perchino as he was affectionately known, was one of those footballers who made up for their limited skill with high energy and commitment to the cause.

After following in the footsteps of Jermain Jenas, Karl Darlow and Jamaal Lascelles and signing from Nottingham Forest, Perch made 65 appearances for the Magpies before being sold to Wigan Athletic.

After making 85 appearances for the Lactics, the defensive midfielder is now at Queens Park Rangers.
