Newcastle are jealous of Everton

There was a time where Everton and Newcastle United would have been considered equals. Not anymore, it seems.

Speaking in gushing tones about their Boxing Day opponents, the club’s Twitter account reported that Magpies boss Steve McClaren couldn’t hide his admiration for the Blues.

He gushed: “Everton are tough opponents, a very good team. They have great balance and Roberto Martinez has done a terrific job.”
