Newcastle United fans need to make St. James’ Park as intimidating as possible

Everyone knows that St. James’ Park can be an intimidating place to come and play football, and the fans play a big part in that.

When things have been going badly, then it’s understandable that the fan fervour will drop off a little bit. But when rock bottom Aston Villa come to visit on Saturday, the Toon Army needs to be in fine voice.

“The key is us and the crowd. The key word tomorrow for everybody is patience,” head coach Steve McClaren said – indicating that he will ask his players to keep the ball and frustrate the away side.
