Cheick Tiote is available for the squad after completing his rehabilitation following an injury.
Head coach Steve McClaren was reported by the Newcastle United Twitter account as saying: “Tiote has trained all week so will come into the squad but, that aside, it’s the same squad.”
His return will provide further options for the boss, and it will allow him to make changes in the engine room if he wants to lock down a winning scoreline on Saturday.
