Gabriel Obertan

Gabriel Obertan has only played well for Newcastle United in spurts since Sir Alex Ferguson sold the Frenchman to the club.

He started the season well, laying on an assist for Papiss Cisse against Southampton – but injury has halted him St. James’ Park career once again. When he is fit, he has often been on the sidelines as Moussa Sissoko dominated the right hand side.

A useful squad player, he is never going to be anything more at the club and should probably move on for the good of his career.
