Matt Phillips

Matt Phillips is another name that has been linked with Newcastle United in the past, after the Queens Park Rangers midfielder enjoyed a successful time in the Premier League.

The main thing putting the Magpies off this transfer is the fee – QPR are in no mood to let him go, and would charge a hefty premium for a January transfer.

In 20 games this season, he has four goals and two assists – but he put on eight goals for this team last season in a similar number of starts.
