Following on from that win against Liverpool, it’s important that fans of Newcastle United remain committed to supporting the club and the players on the pitch.

That said, the footballers themselves need to earn that by playing for the shirt and working hard – that’s all the Toon faithful want to see.

The Chronicle reported that McClaren said:”It was the performance and a combination of the crowd as well, the crowd performed as well and stayed with the team.”
