1. The Newcastle injury situation hasn’t improved

Newcastle United have had a terrible time of it with injuries over the past two seasons, and that won’t improve for the Tottenham Hotspur game.

In his weekly press conference, head coach Steve McClaren confirmed that a number of players will miss the trip to London.

“Squad-wise we are the same as we were last weekend. Tiote is a couple of days away, Aarons also. Lascelles is out on the grass,” said the former Derby County manager.
