Salvatore Sirigu

Salvatore Sirigu has been linked with a move to Newcastle United in the Express as the club look for cover after Tim Krul’s injury.

Krul will probably miss the rest of the season after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

The Magpies have Rob Elliot, Karl Darlow and Freddie Woodman as reserve goalkeepers, but none have the pedigree of Sirigu.
