The Charlie Austin to Newcastle rumour is dragging on more than a Christmas omnibus of Eastenders.
The latest installment claims that, while Austin will not move in January, he will go to pasters new at the end of the season.
The Independent reported that former manager Chris Ramsey said: “We know it’s a financial situation where the players, given the right offer, will probably go.”
