Gael Bigirimana burst onto the scene with Coventry City, and after 26 appearances was signed by Newcastle United in 2012.

Despite settling well at the club and playing 13 times, scoring one goal, he never features in the league since his first season with the club.

A mystery illness stopped him for seeing action for the 2014/2015 season, and although he was sent on loan to Rangers he never featured for the same reason.
