A Newcastle United Podcast: One week, two matches, zero points

A couple of weeks back, our two site experts recorded the debut Newcastle Toons podcast, breaking down Newcastle United’s rough week vs. Arsenal and Palace.

Howay the lads! After some preliminary discussions, a couple of audio equipment purchases, and zero money spent on vocal lessons, Durim Halimi and I, your beloved co-site experts of Newcastle Toons, have officially launched the Newcastle Toons podcast. A major salute of gratitude to FanSided and their podcast team for getting us up and running and allowing us this opportunity.

With the season winding down, we will bring you some quality audio content to supplement our steady written work. Speaking of the written side, shout out to our very own Dean Fisk, who will continue to provide written content but won’t be able to participate on the podcast.

The exact timeframe for new episodes dropping will vary, based on matches, transfer rumors, and general Newcastle United news. We recorded this episode just a couple of hours after Newcastle United’s 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace back on April 6th.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Newcastle United’s dud of a performance vs. Arsenal
  • The frustrating loss to Palace
  • Miguel Almiron’s impact so far
  • Florian Lejeune’s injury
  • Upcoming contract talks

Did you enjoy the episode? Hated the show and/or us? Please, don’t hesitate to leave us a comment and let us know what we could do better. Also, fill us in on the Toon-related topics you would like us to discuss.

Next: Do not worry about Almiron's lack of stats so far

In the future, the podcast will be available in additional streaming services beyond Spreaker. We will keep you posted on any updates.
