Newcastle United defender Chancel Mbemba could play against Sunderland.

The defender, signed from Anderlecht in the summer, has missed seven games since suffering from a malleolar injury.

However, the Magpies’ twitter account reported that Rafa Benitez said: “Chancel Mbemba has trained, Fabricio Coloccini has not. Steven Taylor will be okay.”
