Newcastle captain Fabricio Coloccini will not play against Stoke City

The Argentine defender will not feature during the mid-week clash after picking up an injury during their Spanish break.

Speaking before the game, head coach Steve McClaren was reported in the Chronicle as saying: “Colo is extremely doubtful for the next two games but we are assessing him day-by-day after a calf injury.”
