Newcastle United head coach Steve McClaren has said a win is vital.

Speaking before the Watford vs Newcastle cup clash, the former Derby County manager expressed his desire to end the club’s record of consecutive scoreless losses.

The team’s Twitter account reported that he said: “We need a win. We need to gather momentum and tomorrow is an opportunity to do that. Arsenal is the standard and the level.”
